With people shopping online for groceries, services, and a huge variety of gifts, it is no wonder why the internet is booming and quickly becoming the number one way to shop.

It has been shown that 4 out of 5 people have purchased something online, or at least browsed the web to find what they are looking for. Whether it was to find out where to buy it from a retail store or to find the lowest price, the internet had some form of influence.

Why the increase in internet shopping? There are several theories out there however as a consumer myself, I can tell you why I shop online.

Another reason to shop online is the ability to find an item at the cheapest price. Online allows you to compare many prices fast and in most cases, the online stores are cheaper than retail because they have little overhead.

Another reason is the economical value. If you can save a gallon of gas each time you want to purchase something, why not? If you dont have to drive to a retail shop you can save possibly hundreds of dollars per year. So as long as you are not in a hurry and can wait a few days to receive your item, great!

Lastly, online shopping is a stress free way to shop; no more waiting in lines or fighting for that parking spot.

Online shopping provides an environment that allows for fast, convenient and economical way to purchase the things you need. As the technological age progresses more retail shops will close and many more people will turn to the internet for their shopping needs.
