Earning Money Online is all About Keyword Research
Many people fail to earn money when blogging for money because they do not pick a profitable keyword. New Bloggers have the notion that the way to make money is to get a lot of traffic to their websites and hope that they click on the ads spewed all over the blog site. They think that lots of traffic equals lots of money, no matter the topic. Sometimes this works, however, you will need millions of visitors a day to have power in numbers make you money. Actually, it is easier to pick a niche that has earning potential.
Brainstorm some keyword terms and start writing down a list of all search terms that you think have value. Write down words that you know a lot about or have some interest in. It is usually easier to create a blog on a topic that you have interest in as you can create fresh content off the top of your head. If you have no idea where to start, go to an article directory and read some articles. This will give you an idea of what other people are writing about.
However, choosing the right keyword can earn you a lot of money or cause you to waste time. The first thing you should do when finding a niche is to brainstorm KW terms. If you do not have any idea of what to write about, think of topics that interest you or that you know a lot about. Are you a nurse and know a lot about how to quit smoking? Have you tried out a specific product and know a lot about it? Write down everything that you think you can write a lot about and build a list of words.
After you have a list of words that you are interested in, start to eliminate the words that you believe do not have any buyer value. This means keep the keywords that you think have buying potential and dump the rest. Certain keywords have more buying potential than others. “Free Cell-phone” does not have as much buying potential as “online cell-phone accessories”. The task here is get rid of and narrow down your field of search terms to a couple of niches.
Think of variations of your keyword that have buyer potential. Instead of “apples”, how about the keyword phrase “buy gourmet apple pies”? “Buy” keywords tend to do well for click through rates as the people are looking to buy something when they type in “buy (keyword)” in Google. These type of people are more likely to click on ads to get more information on purchase a product.
