There are many affordable accounting programs on the market. You can probably get a basic one for less than $100, but as always, you will get what you pay for. For example, it could offer to balance your books and keep track of your inventory. You will have to pay extra for functions like payroll, computation of taxes, calculating discounts and the like.
If you settle for a cheap program, you should know that these may have been made by small software developers with little capital themselves. This means that they may not have spent as much on product testing and might not be able to offer you as much technical support as more established computer companies.
You should always remember that as your business continues to prosper, and as time passes, you will likely want to get updates and upgrades for your accounting software.
If you buy your software from a fledgling company, you may discover that they have gone bankrupt. You will then be forced to look for another accounting program that you will have to teach yourself to use all over again.
